Hardcover. Good Condition. 17, cxlviii, 523 pp. 16 pgs. ads at rear. Octavo. Dark red boards somewhat faded over time with some soiling to cover. Black, blue, and gilt lines and lettering on the spine. Rubbing and loss of gilt on spine over the word "Burns" with heavier loss on the "U" and the "R", yet the word "Burns" remains readible. Ornate cover with black, blue and gilt embellisments. Some rubbing to gilt and loss over bottom part of "B" in word "Burns" . Back cover red cloth covered blindstamped board is faded and rubbed. Some bumping and exposure of corner boards. Pags edges gilt on three sides, lightly scuffed in a few places.
Inside: Chocolate colored endpapers. One front end paper is missing. The binding is very good. Externally, the book has a slight shelf lean but can stand securely on its own.
